What is Income Statement ? Income Statement kya hota ha ? Simple Explanation in Hindi |

 

:- हर कंपनी अपने Performance को बताने के लिए Basically तिन तरह के Financial Ststement बनाती है :- 

1 . Balance Sheet 

2 . Income Statement 

3 . Cash Flow Statement 

:- ओर हम आज INCOME STATEMENT के बारेमे जानेगे |

:- हम जानेगे की 

Income Statement क्या होता है ? 

इसमे कंपनीया क्या - क्या Information देती है ?

   What is Income Statement ? 

       Income Statement Kya hota ha ? 

:- Income Statement एक Financial Statement है जो एक Fix Time Period मे कंपनियो की Profitability को बताता है | 

:- कंपनिया Income Statement मे एक Fix Time Period के अपने Revenues , Expenses or Profit / Loss को बताते है ओर Generally Income Statement  3 महिने , 6 महिने ओर 1 साल के Time के लिए बनाए जाते है | 

:- हम Generally Income Statement को कंपनी की Annual Report मे देखते है | जहाँ पर Time Period 1 साल का होता है | 

:- Income Statement मे कंपनीया Mainly दो चीजो को बताती है 

1 . Revenue / Sales 

                                  यानी Company ने एक Fix Time मे Total कितने Amount के Products या Services Sell की है | 

2 . Expenses 

                         यानी कंपनी को एक Fix Time मे Total कितने पैसे खर्च करने पडे | 

ओर जब हम Total Revenue मे से Total Expenses को घटाते है तो हम कंपनी की Profitability का पता चलता है | 

:- Income Statement मे Basic Equation होता है 

Revenue - Expenses = Net Profit / Loss | 

:- यानी अगर एक Fix Period मे कंपनी के Total Revenue > Total Expenses से ज्यादा है | तो कंपनी को उस Period मे Profit होता है | 

:- वही अगर एक Fix Period मे कंपनी के Total Revenues < Total Expenses से कम है | तो कंपनी को उस Period मे Loss होता है | 

:- Income Statements को हम 

• Statement of Profit and Loss 

• Statement of Operations 

• Statement of Revenue And Expenses 

• Statement of Earning 

  

   भी कहते है | 

Income Statements को 2 तरह से बनाया जा सकता है | 

2 Ways of Making an Income Statement . 

1 . Single Step Format 

2 . Multi Step Format 

1 . Single Step Format :- 

                                             Single Step Format मे सबसे पहले कंपनी का Total Revenue होता है ओर फिर उसके निचे कंपनी के Total Expenses को Show किया जाता है | 

:- फिर Total Total Revenue मे से Total Expenses को घटाने पर हमे कंपनी का Profit Before Tax ( PBT ) मिलता है | 

EXAMPLE :- 

                     मानलेते है AB LTD एक कंपनी है जिसका Total Revenue है 100cr Rs ओर उसके Total Expenses है 70cr Rs | 

हम AB LTD के Total Revenue 100cr Rs मे से AB LTD के Total Expenses 70cr Rs को घटाएगें जिससे हमे AB LTD का Profit Before Tax मिलेगा 30cr Rs अब अगर AB LTD का Tax Rate 30% है तो कंपनी को अपने Profit Before Tax यानी 30cr Rs मे से 30% यानी 9cr Rs का Tax देना होगा | जिससे हमे AB LTD का Net profit मिलेगा 21cr Rs | 

2 . Multi Step Format :- 

                                            Multi Step Format मे पहले कंपनी के Total Revenue को Show किया जाता है फिर उसके निचे कंपनी के Total Expenses को अलग - अलग Expenses मे Divide करके Step by Step Revenue से घटाया जाता है | 

:- सबसे पहले Total Revenue मे से Cost of Goods Sold यानी ( COGS ) को घटाया जाता है जिससे हमे Gross Profit मिलता है | COGS मे सिर्फ ऐसे Expenses होते है जो कंपनी अपने Product के Direct Manufacture मे लगाती है | जैसे Cost of Row Materials , Cost of Labor Etc . 

:- फिर Gross Profit मे से कंपनी के Total Operating Expenses को घटाया जाता है जिससे हमे Operating Profit मिलता है | Operating Expenses मे वैसे Expenses आते है जो कंपनी के Day to Day Operating मे लगते है | इसमे Generally Selling Gernal and Administrative Expenses or Deperanciation Expenses आते है | 

:- Operating Profit को Earning Before Interst & Taxes ( EBIT ) कहा जाता है | 

फिर अगर कंपनी के उपर कोइ Loan है तो कंपनी के उपर Interest भी देना पडेगा | इस लिए Operating Profit मे से कंपनी की Interest Cost को घटाया जाता है | जिससे हमे Profit Before Tax ( PBT ) मिलता है | 

ओर फिर Profit Before Tax मे से Income Tax को घटाने पर हमे कंपनी का Net Profit / Net Income मिलती है | 

EXAMPLE :-  

                        हम अपने पहले Example मे AB LTD के Income Statement को ही Multiples या Format Show करते है | 

AB LTD का Total Revenue है 100cr Rs हम इसमे से कंपनी की COGS 40Cr Rs को घटाएगे जिससे हमे AB LTD का Gross Profit मिलेगा 60cr Rs  फिर हम AB LTD के Gross Profit 60cr Rs मे से SG&A Expenses 20cr Rs or Depreciation Expenses 5cr Rs को घटाएगे | जिससे हमे AB LTD का Operating Profit मिलेगा 35cr Rs | फिर हम AB LTD के Operating Profit 35cr Rs मे से Interest Expenses 5cr Rs को घटाएगे जिससे हमे AB LTD का Profit Before Tax मिलेगा 30cr Rs | 

अब AB LTD को अपने PBT 30cr Rs पर 30% Tax भी देना पडेगा यानी अब हम AB LTD के Profit Before Tax 30cr Rs मे से Income Tax 9cr Rs को घटाएगे जिससे हमे AB LTD का Net Profit मिलेगा 21cr Rs | 

:- इस तरह Income Statement के दोनो Formats से हमे Net Profit की Information Same ही मिलती है | 

:- वस Multi Step Format से हम Income Statement को ज्यादा Steps or Details मेम Information पाते है | 

:- ये कंपनीयो पर Depend करता है कि वो दोनो Format मे से किस Format मे अपना Income Statement बनाती है पर ज्यादा तर Indian Company के Income Statement Single Step Format मे ही होते है | 

:- Net Profit को Income Statement का सबसे Important Number माना जाता है | क्योकी हर कंपनी Profit बनाने के लिए हि बिजनस करती है ओर Net Profit कंपनी के पुरे Operating का Final Result होता है | Net Profit या Net Income को हम अक्सर कंपनीयो का Bottomline भी कहाँ जाता है | क्योकी Net Profit का Line Income Statement के Bottom मे आता है | 

:- Income Statement मे एक ओर बहुत Important Information जो हर कंपनी Show करती है वो है Earning Per Share ( EPS )
